Republican Candidate for Lewis County Sheriff
Kenneth Cheeseman has devoted more than 40 years of his life to law enforcement, all right here in Lewis County. His career with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office includes service as a patrol deputy, sergeant, detective supervisor, inspector, and an instructor for the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission.
Education & Training
Kenneth has always believed that continued training and education strengthen professionalism in law enforcement. In addition to his extensive training in patrol, SWAT, supervision, and investigations, he has earned a degree in Criminal Justice Administration, as well as Washington State Supervisory and Middle Management certifications.
Service Beyond the Badge
Kenneth’s commitment to community runs far deeper than his work in the Sheriff’s Office. In his 45+ years in the Randle area, he has served as a volunteer firefighter and Fire Chief, EMT, District Leader for the Boy Scouts of America, and a multi-sport coach at White Pass High School. His work outside of law enforcement has shaped the lives of countless young people across Lewis County.

Throughout his career, Kenneth has been honored with numerous awards for service, leadership, and excellence. These recognitions include the Sheriff’s Office Meritorious Service Award, Lewis County Sheriff’s Office Employee of the Year, the Lewis County Sheriff's Outstanding Performance recognition, and countless other commendations from the Sheriff’s Office throughout his career.

Kenneth is running for Sheriff because he believes in strong leadership, community engagement, and supporting the men and women who keep Lewis County safe. He stands for public safety, accountability, and protecting the values that define the great people of Lewis County.
With decades of experience, a deep understanding of Lewis County, and a passion for service, Kenneth Cheeseman is ready to lead the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office into the future.
